Course Overview
Our body is an amazingly powerful instrument. Think of who inspired you as an actor and how they use their bodies to express their art on stage or on camera.This course aims to enhance your personal potential to express yourself as a performer. How do you wake up the body to its full potential? How do you approach character work to achieve an inspiring embodied transformation? This course is an exploration of emotional involuntary movements, and spontaneous and expressive material, to become one with your body again.
The HubStudio is thrilled to have international coach, Roel Voorbij at the studio. This series is a truly unique physical movement and awareness course that teaches actors how to reconnect to their freedom of expression, sense of self and impulsivness, in a highly interactive and insightful way. This course is essential for those working professionals looking to find a new way to access their craft, learn a new technique and unlock their potential.

Course Outline
Over a set of 6 weeks we are connecting from head to toe, growing our physical awareness and translating the work into a practical approach to take home, by answering the following questions:
- How do I prepare and warm up effectively?
- How do I relate to my body?
- How do I open up and built trust?
- How do I embody a character from a script?
Course Outcomes
- Achieve a heightened awareness and understanding of your body and the movements it produces (both intentional and unintentional).
- Express yourself more freely and authentically.
- Achieve a transformed physical energy by connecting with sensory experiences.
- Put these techniques into practice and physically build and embody a character from a script.

How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.
About Roel Voorbij
Roel Voorbij started acting at an early age and has been on stage since he was 12. He is an actor, teacher and casting director from the Netherlands, his background is in physical acting. He studied Theatre at the internationally recognised Amsterdam School of the Arts, Mime Education (Mime corporel, not pantomime) The projects he entertains are mostly created from a concept and shared philosophy developed through improvisation in co-operation with several directors, performed in Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco, New York and Australia.
