Imara Savage | Theatre Masterclass

Imara Savage is a theatre and opera director. She has directed award-winning productions for Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir Theatre, State Theatre Company of South Australia, Sydney Chamber Opera, and Griffin Independent. Anna Houston | Theatre Masterclass

This eight week series is a theatre masterclass in which each applicant will be running partnered scenes or monologues under the guidance and direction of Anna. Anna’s fifteen years of acting experience studying at both NIDA and under Philippe Gaulier in Paris, as well as her extensive theatre and directing credits will give students both the necessary structure as well as ‘mess, chaos and play’ to classic theatre texts.

Kate Gaul | Theatre Masterclass: On Your Feet!

Sharpen your technique – Reawaken your imagination – Take some risks – Make some theatre.

Each session begins with a vocal and gentle physical warm-up. Kate Gaul then leads actors through a series of improvisation and training exercises before beginning on the interpretation and rehearsal of a series of short scenes and monologues. A number of styles will be approached. This is a great chance to work with like-minded artists and get a great intensive acting injection.

Anthony Skuse | Masterclass

The Anthony Skuse Master Class is an eight week partnered scene work class with twelve students only. This series is a fantastic way of learning the craft of acting from Anthony’s unique perspective, starting with greek classical text, Anthony will take you through a whole cannon of work. Josh McConville | Character Development & Scene Work

The perception of a character actor is changing. Instead of playing types, the best character actors play no ‘type’ at all, to disappear into roles completely while at the same time understanding the techniques required to do so, imbuing their performances with something memorable; they are the chameleons in the truest sense of that word.

Throughout this 4 week workshop we will explore and practice the necessary methods of crafting multi layered characters that can be used in the professional industry.

This eight-week masterclass series coached by director, Shaun Rennie focuses on song interpretation and presentation. Sharpen your ability to get to the emotional core of a piece. Interpret the lyrics, and then personalise the storytelling.Learn how to move people through song every time. Indulge in the essence of musical theatre.You will finish this course with a stronger sense of how to prepare for musical theatre auditions. For those more experienced actors you’ll be challenged to dig deeper, and raise the stakes. Then take to the stage for a one off one night concert experience.
