Course Overview

Creative Director of Red line Productions, Andrew Henry is coming to the Hub this April! Within just 4 years, Red Line Productions has produced 96 plays, welcomed 220,000 audience members and produced three national tours. Red Line is at the heart of Independent theatre in Sydney and Andrew’s finger is on the pulse. This workshop is for actors who want to start producing Independent Theatre, actors who have started producing but would like to deepen their knowledge and actors who are in the scripting stage and are looking to move to the next step. Andrew will guide you through the process of producing and give you the need-to-know info in this full day seminar.

How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.

About Andrew Henry

Andrew Henry is an award winning theatre and screen actor, he is the Artistic Director of Red Line Productions and an alumni from the School at Steppenwolf in Chicago.

Theatre Credits Include: Look Back In Anger (Red Line Productions),The Blind Giant is Dancing (Belvoir), Of Mice and Men (Sport for Jove), Orphans (Red Line Productions), Freuds Last Session (QPAC), Europe (Seymour Centre), Howie The Rookie (Red Line Productions), All My Sons (Eternity Playhouse), Frankenstein (Ensemble Theatre), Reasons to be Pretty (Darlinghurst Theatre Company,) The Schelling Point (Tamarama Rock Surfers) andThe Chronic-Ills of Robert Zimmerman (Tamarama Rock Surfers).

Andrew has been nominated for three Sydney Theatre Awards for Best Actor and won with his performance as The Howie Lee in Howie the Rookie directed by Toby Schmitz. He also received the Taffy Davis memorial award for Best Actor for All My Sons. 

As Artistic Director of Red Line Productions, Andrew has programmed 92 productions for an audience of 173,000. These productions have included the commission and world premiere of Louis Nowra’s This Much Is True, the world premiere of Degenerate Art by Toby Schmitz, King Of Pigs by Steve Rogers and the Australian premieres of titles including The Wolves, The Humans, and Cock.

Andrews Television Credits Include: Janet King (Season 2), Secret City, The Code (Season 2), The Cut, Love Child (Season 3), Top Of The Lake (Season 2) and most recently Andrew completed filming on Playmakers American series The Reckoning.
