Course Overview
The HubStudio is very proud to have prolific Casting Director Daniel Berini at the HubStudio in Sydney for a one-day workshop, Saturday 23rd of March 2024 at The Audition Room. This is an exclusive opportunity to work with Daniel to learn more about the casting process and how to best approach scene material, get ‘out of your head’, and nail your audition.
Actors will be required to prepare a scene before attending, either from a selection Daniel provides, or something you have independently chosen. The workshop will then run like a real casting session, with extended feedback and an opportunity to ‘play’ with the material, and review as a group. You will then all receive a short, second scene to learn on the spot and have an in-depth discussion on audition skills & techniques.
Course Outline
Over the day, Daniel will focus on:
- Filming scenes, taking direction and playback.
- Exploring different practical techniques for casting and taping.
- Staying present in the room and embracing the opportunity.
- Give insider information and tips to help you nail your next casting.

In this one day course, you will learn:
- How to better prepare for a casting.
- How to get out of your head and engage your instincts.
- How to better connect with the material and your scene partner.
- How to feel empowered before and after a casting session.

Price: Members $220.00 incl GST (10% off for members)
Payment Options
How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.
About Daniel Berini
Originally from small-town Perth WA, Daniel Berini has been in the Australian casting scene since 2015 when he started out at Anousha Zarkesh Casting, moving to the i4 Casting team in 2018. He has worked extensively on an array of drama, TV, and advertising projects, and recently launched his own casting firm, Wayward Creative.
