Emma Jackson

Emma is an Australian actress and voice over artist based in Sydney, and a proud member of The Hub’s 2020 Sydney Ensemble. As a performer, she’s had training in Meisner, Practical Aesthetics and long form improvisation, seeing her travel to Chicago in 2017 to study and perform at the iO Theatre. Emma was an elite gymnast until the age of 15, and until after that time, didn’t have the opportunity to explore her interest in acting, so her year at The Hub has allowed her to develop more traditional areas of theatre and screen training, such as voice and movement.

In 2018, Emma was a performer at Sydney Comedy Festival in Mates! An Improvised Aussie Soap Opera, as well as appearing in two theatre productions – Bohemia Theatre’s Whitewash and a UNSW production of Rumours by Neil Simon. In 2019, she was involved in the Kings Cross Theatre’s Step Up Festival, where she appeared in a staged reading of The Acid Test. As a voice over artist, Emma was a freelancer at Macquarie Media in 2019, where she voiced multiple radio commercials.

Emma also has a degree in Media and Communication from the University of Wollongong, and in her spare time she enjoys travelling (within the pandemic limitations, obviously), photography, entertaining her little nephew, yoga, and just about any activity that involves the ocean.
