Course Overview
Most kids naturally possess the qualities necessary to be successful actors: creativity, imagination & enthusiasm. In the HubStudio’s Young Actor series each actor will learn the techniques and skills to successfully transfer these into performance. Our high end workshops taught by NIDA graduates, are for children interested in either starting a career in the industry, or to learn more about themselves and the craft, in a fun engaging format.
Not your average kids acting class – our point of difference is that we:
- Have extensive experience in high-end training both in Perth and Sydney. We’re professional but fun.
- We have a well developed platform for those actors looking to pursue the industry more throughly.
- We develop the actor as a whole, studying the main aspects of performance such as Voice, Movement, Improvisation, Theatre & Film.
- Our classes are catered for those who want to have fun and gain confidence as well as those specifically interested in a career in acting.
- We explore leading naturalistic acting techniques giving students the ability to present truth & presence in performance.
- Each child is respected and taught as an individual, working on their needs and abilities – one actor at a time.
- Explore mindfulness and anxiety dealing techniques for on stage, as well as daily life.
From a top-line perspective – as the computer age beckons experiential learning environments are becoming more and more important in allowing children to develop in a connected and visceral way. This course is designed to help bring out the authentic expression of children inside the container of performance. It’s the perfect way for any child to learn more about themselves and the world around them, to engage with their imagination, emotions and expressions, and learn how to truly connect with other people.
